The Great GoogaMooga Festival (Prospect Park, 11AM) $55-$134
The food-and-music extravaganza is back in Brooklyn for its second year, kicking off with a Friday night concert, headlined by NYC alt-rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Flaming Lips, and a marathon lineup of grub from a whopping 85 restaurants and food trucks!
Sunday, May 12
The Olde Time Coney Island Strongman Spectacular (Sideshows by the Seashore 1208 Surf Ave, at 12th St)
Now in its third year, the Olde Time Coney Island Strongman Spectacular has become a much anticipated event at Coney Island. The 2013 Strongman Spectacular promises to be bigger, stronger and better than ever. This is one of the first major free events in Coney Island since hurricane Sandy ripped through the iconic neighborhood. It features some of the world’s best strongmen who will be showcasing a variety of unusual acts and super-human feats the likes of which your eyes have never seen.
Have a lovely weekend,
