NYC EVENTS

Friday, May 24
Top Gun on the Intrepid (Intrepid Air and Space Museum) - 730PM

The floating museum kicks off its outdoor film series with a showing of the Tom Cruise classic. Doors open at 7:30pm; the movie begins at sunset.

Saturday, May 25
Bicycle Festish Day (City Reliquary Museum, Williamsburg ) 

It’s a festival for all things bicycle. The 9th Annual Bicycle Fetish Day features biking activities, bike competitions, bike rides, bicycle advocacy groups and artists selling their wares. Contests include: Best Vintage Bike, Best Shiny Bike, Best Family Bike, Best Mutant Bike, and Best in Show.

Sunday, May 26
The Shins Play Williamsburg Park (North 12th Street and Kent Ave) 5PM 

The Shins will be headlining the park’s opening concert of the summer along with special guest Man Man! Possible celebrity sightings might include Zach Braff and Natalie Portman :)

Monday, May 27
Little Neck–Douglaston Memorial Day Parade (Parade route: Northern Blvd from Jayson Ave to 245th St, Douglaston, Queens.) 11AM 

Honor fallen members of the United States Armed Forces at the largest of the city’s Memorial Day parades. Bring your handheld Old Glory and cheer on local members of the military, veterans, marching bands, Brownie troops and Boy Scouts as they march westward along Northern Boulevard in Queens from Great Neck to Douglaston.
